Platinum collection is Billabongs hero global luggage collection. Extensive research into technical innovation is undertaken to develop this type of premium product. 420d dobby and hypalon trims have been used with a raised silicone metal badge to name just a few key elements of these products.
BILLABONG SU11 ECO CANVAS COLLECTION
The canvas collection responds to the consumer seeking a timeless, premium look. Using recycled greige hemp canvas and PET webbing this collection was part of a wider strategy to use increasing amounts of environmentally conscious materials.
BILLABONG DESIGN MANAGEMENT
As Design Manager for Billabong Mens Accessories I was responsible for the execution of on trend brand healthy product. Whether on the tools designing the product myself or working with the designers whom reported to me, no stone is left unturned, including a push towards a classier premium look for miscellaneous product such as here.
BILLABONG DESIGN AND CATALOGUE DIRECTION
As Design Manager for Billabong Mens Accessories, art direction and photoshooting product was a major project each season. To prepare for catalogue and range release I would use location and studio studio shoots to get the best images that give the product a visual language and theme.
BILLABONG WINTER 11
As Billabong Design Manager, this project shows on overview of product and catalogue creative direction for the Winter 11 range.
FRINGE SHADE SHELL
A portable Shade Shell designed for beach outings. Take the shade shell to the shoreline and let the water lap up into the inflateable cavities built into the product. Retract the shell for more or less sunlight exposure.
KAYAK CHAIR
A product helping the differently abled person kayak by inflating their raft from the wheel walls, leaning back and rolling in.
LIQUID IRON BUG
A 4m tall solid iron or copper, glass and steel structural public sculpture inspired by the Moreton Bay Bug. As water flows over the Iron plates the bugs copper shell rusts and oxides just as a natural bug shed their skin.
QUEENSLAND EXPORT AWARDS
A scaled model and CAD concepts reflecting an industrial theme for the stage, dancefloor and trophy of the awards.
COBB & CO MUSEUM MEGAFAUNA EXHIBIT
Conceptual design for the exhibit of Australia’s pre-historic animals. Presentation of the theme included surface materials, lighting, load, sound, visualised experience, learning environments including a fossil dig, diversity wall and tunnel.
