Soft good design to support family travel

Background

Recognising the need for better travel solutions and with the desire to enhance the traveling experience for families, SlumbaPak founder Melissa Angus joined forces with Tristan to help bring her vision for SlumbaPak, an innovative travel accessory to support the comfort of children on flights, to life. Alongside insights from occupational therapists and ergonomists they have developed game-changing solutions to keep kids safe, comfortable, and happy, turning those long journeys into enjoyable adventures for everyone!

Approach

Drawing on his decade of experience in soft good design, Tristan worked closely with Melissa to identify suitable materials and provide her with the necessary information to talk to her manufacturing partners.

Relative Creative developed an in-house prototype and supported the provision of detailed feedback to support further development of the product.

SlumbaPak was awarded the 2025 “Peoples Choice” Travel Goods Award.
